Antrasis MEMOVE tarptautinis projektas Kaune

"I have heard of Kaunas before coming to Lithuania but could never imagine I would remain in love with this city. I have visited many places all over Europe but was amazed by the calm beauty of this town and the open-hearted people. I saw some museums to get better acknowledged with the history of Kaunas and its culture. In the same time, in the first three evenings we had cultural actions, where teams were presenting their countries. I’ve learned to dance the Polish and loved the Lithuanian national dances either. Also, I liked very much the local cuisine. What amazed me in Kaunas is that along the main street were lots of musicians. It was a great pleasure to admire the architecture and enjoy the great weather listening to jazz and classic.

By being from all over Europe, we taught each other the traditions of our countries and the specific of our mentalities. I think we all came back with a large social and cultural luggage. We constructed and imlemented the social action in the city centre.People really enjoyed it and even started dancing with us. Nowadays, when intollerance is trying to recome in our hearts, such public events are extremely important. Also, spending 10 days with people from different countries and with diverse beliefs and opinions, made me more tolerant

and motivated me to start fighting against stereotypes in my country’s society. I observed the Lithuanians reaction towards foreigners– they were very helpful and kind and even told us what we should obligatory visit in Kaunas. The task of making photos with at least 10 locals showed us how opened are people in Lithuania...and how much they love to smile and enjoy their lives."
